Text messages can be helpful, especially when it comes to connecting with a man, but what do you do when he sends you inappropriate messages?

Hey ladies, my name is Amy North, I’m a relationship coach from Vancouver, BC, and today I want to talk about how to respond to sexual text messages. As you probably know, receiving suggestive or inappropriate texts can be awkward, and what’s worse is when you really like the guy who sent them… and don’t know how to respond.

On one hand you don’t want to come across as prudish, but at the same time you don’t want him to think that you’re easy or that you’ll give in to his sexual comments or requests too quickly.

So, what do you do?

Well, the trick is to respond in a charming way that shows him that while you’re not ready to “sext” with him just yet, you’re also not completely opposed to the idea.

Well, the good news is this: I know EXACTLY what to send a man in this situation, and I’m about to share it with you. Okay, so let’s say the guy you’re into sends you a text asking what you’re doing and you say that you’re in bed. Then he follows up by asking you what you’re wearing, or requests that you send him a photo.

What can you do in this case? Well the way I see it, you have three options.

First, you can get angry, tell him that he’s being a pig, or to grow up. Second you can passively laugh it off and come up with some lame excuse for why you can’t send him a photo, like “Oh, it’s too dark” or “My camera isn’t working.” Or third, you can tell him this.
