Greek 🇬🇷 Patates Lemonates (Lemony Roasted Potatoes)
My version is pretty close to authentic if not exact, the flavours are exactly what makes this Greek dish a hit! I love Greek cuisine and all its flavours and of course the authenticity of the food! The lemons, garlic , olive oil are all staples I use in my home, so why not hit it up Greek when you can! Enjoy 😉
Ingredients 🇬🇷
✅7-8 potatoes of choice- Yukon Gold/yellow are best
✅3-4 garlic cloves
✅1/3cup olive oil
✅zest of 1 lemon
✅juice of 1 lemon
✅1 tablespoon oregano
✅1 tablespoon mustard
✅salt and pepper
**measure with your ❤️ if you want a bit more or less of something**
**peel and cut potatoes into wedges and rinse set aside. Peel garlic and slice in half set aside
**for the marinade add olive oil, lemon zest , lemon juice, oregano, mustard, salt and pepper mix well
**dry potatoes well, add to roasting pan, throw in the garlic distributing pieces evenly, pour in marinade and add about 1/2 cup water or (chicken broth if you prefer that flavour) into the potatoes (pour in from the side so it doesn't wash out marinade on-top of potatoes).
Bake at 400 for 45min -1hour until fork tender.
