"The Lost City of Z" is a 2016 biographical adventure film directed by James Gray. It's based on the 2009 book of the same name by David Grann. The film follows the true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett who journeys into the Amazon in the early 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization. As he becomes obsessed with finding the city he calls "Z," his expeditions face numerous challenges.
