Hiphop is by far the biggest and most successful music genre in the world and because of this, you would think it would become quickly over saturated, however, the artists within the genre continue to innovate it and push hiphop further as a culture due to their creativity. But what makes some of these artists creative? What or who inspired these artists to make the kind of music they do? Many of you may have your own answers to these questions, but i feel my own answer often here overlooked and that’s comic books. Comic books have been involved with hip-hop since the creation of the genre back in the day, so to truly understand how comics influenced rap and hip-hop, we first need to take a look at how hip-hop originally came to be.
