Ms. Angel Baraily (30) is from Darjeeling, West Bengal.
She is a school teacher.

She had myopia with spectacle power of -8.0 D & -7.0 D.
She used a face a lot of inconvenience due to her glasses both in her personal and professional life, which is why she wanted to get rid of her eyeglasses.

☘︎ There are basically 2 types of operations to remove the glasses:

1. LASER OPERATION
This procedure involves the use of a laser to reshape the surface of the cornea, helping light to properly focus on the retina. This helps see you yourself better.

2. LENS IMPLANTATION OPERATION (ICL SURGERY)
In this procedure, an artificial lens is placed inside the eye behind the iris, this artificial lens works with the existing natural lens to bend light on the retina which helps produces clear vision

Usually, Laser surgery is preferred for the correction of specs powers up to -8.0D, but in Ms. Angel's case, Laser surgery was not possible as her 'Corneal Thickness' turned out to be very thin.
In such cases of Thin Cornea, Dry Eyes, High Myopic Power, or Keratoconus where Laser surgery is not possible, ICL Surgery is the preferred option for specs removal.

She recently underwent an ICL Lens Implantation procedure for Specs Removal at Eye7 Eye Hospital, Delhi. Her ICL surgery was performed by Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary (Founder of Eye7 Group of Eye Hospitals) himself.

✅ PROCESS OF ICL LENS SURGERY

You’ll be required to make 2 visits to Delhi
(The first visit for screening tests and the second visit after 15-20 days for the surgery)

1️⃣ VISIT:
At the time of screening check-ups, you will be required to stay in Delhi for 2 days.

➤ 1st Day:
Pre-Op Screening Test will be performed (approx. 3-4 hours)
➤ 2nd Day:
Final measurement for ICL lenses (approx. 2 hours), If you turn out to be an eligible candidate for ICL and would want to order the lenses for the surgery, then you’ll be required to come the next day for the final measurement of ICL lenses.

2️⃣ VISIT:
At the time of surgery, you will be required to stay in Delhi for2 days.
