I first heard ring modulation on bass while watching Tim Lefebvre at the 55bar in New York City over 20 years ago. He hipped me to the Frequency Analyzer by EHX, and I also got into the Moogerfooger MF-102 very early on in my pedal explorations. Both Tim Lefevbre and John Davis have used these two ring modulator pedals that feature in this episode, to great effect with the bass guitar, and I break down the way they, and I, use them in a multitude of situations.
