This webinar “Climate Science and Institutional Policy: An Introduction to the IPCC and its Reports for Business Leaders” was co-hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on 15 October 2020.
We heard from IPCC lead scientists about the latest climate science and what this means for business, as well as from business leaders on how they are already integrating the IPCC findings into their business strategies and how these are informing their long-term planning. We also learnt how business can get involved in the development of the next IPCC report “Climate Change 2022”.
We asked:
• How business can contribute and engage in the work of the IPCC?
• How the IPCC's work has influenced companies' climate targets?
• How companies review and use the IPCC work?
• What the IPCC could cover in its reports to help companies enhance climate action?
