Big Rhino Beetle Surprise...
Walking around looking for snakes and not finding too many until after this was shot, we decided to go raid some insect catchers setup on the lawn at the top of the hill. We were all in their insects and moths and stuff when we found this massive rhino beetle in the grass next to the net. WOW. It was supercool. Haven't seen one in years.
Then we get talking about fighting them - and I had to look it up on the internet. Then the surprise. I really love a GOOD FIGHT! Hope you do too. Sorry it is over as quickly as it starts.
