My Story & Opposition to Terrorism

I was sentenced to death by my father, who was a high-ranking member of Hamas, because I reported on suicide bombings targeting civilians. They are a terrorist organization, recognized as such by the UK, the US, and the EU.

The October 7, 2023 Attack

How many of you would have reported the October 7th Hamas attack if you knew about it in advance? Very few would. On that day, Hamas killed civilians—Jews, Arabs, Muslims—everyone. They targeted 20 Jewish communities, ethnically cleansing people simply because of their ethnicity and religion.

The current narrative coming from those who support Hamas is dangerous. They try to delegitimize the existence of Israel and call for its destruction. But Israel has the right to exist and to defend itself.

The Palestinian Narrative

The claim of Palestinians as "victims" is deeply problematic. The idea that Palestinians are the indigenous people of the land is false. They are pushing a narrative of colonialism and occupation, yet they themselves have been co-opted by a violent ideology. They want the world to believe that they are fighting against colonialism, but in reality, they are using children as human shields, as tools in their political game.

Hamas's actions in Gaza have been brutal. They hide behind civilians, using them as shields, and even as a means to gain sympathy for their cause. Israel, on the other hand, goes to great lengths to minimize civilian casualties, including sending warnings before airstrikes.

Final Thoughts: Israel and the Future

Despite the ongoing violence, I believe in peace. I believe that Arabs and Jews can live together peacefully. This is not about religion; it's about humanity. As Arabs, we have a culture that predates modern conflicts, and we should reject the false narrative that Palestinians are victims.

Israel will be our ally in the future, and we need to focus on building bridges rather than perpetuating cycles of hate.
