The Animal Welfare board along with a bunch of other animal activists had moved the Supreme Cort challenging the Tamil Nadu government's amendment to the prevention of cruelty to animals act. The challenge claims that the new law violates the Supreme court judgement which had earlier declared Jallikattu as an inherently cruel practice on the bulls.
