Pressure Reducing Valves - Boiling Point Flashback
We are digging deep in our video vault to look back at some highlights from the Boiling Point archives. Fresh new content is coming soon, but in the meantime enjoy this flashback episode.
Today on the Boiling Point, Ritchie talks with Steven Taylor about the pressure reducing valves and how they work. These valves are used all throughout the boiler room so understanding how they work is essential.
Pressure reducing valves have the important job of reducing the steam coming off the boiler to something that the appliance can use (Heat exchanger / Feedwater Tank / etc). Without these, the incoming steam could damage or destroy the application from the overwhelming pressure. With something this important, it is critical to make sure you have these on your spare parts shelf to be replaced at a moments notice.
