Basic mechanic:
You will not aggro Taniks if you deal damage to him while you're dead. Using stuff like Slowva Bomb, Witherhoard, Grenades will work. So all you need to do is casts your super then hop off a ledge while doing so. However, casting a Novabomb on to Taniks will only do (more or less) 2% of his health, so this might take at least an hour to do.

Guide + Explanation:
For the build is simple, you want to get your super as fast as possible, though time doesn't really matter here. Using the Dynamo mods (Void Helmet Mod) while using your class ability nearby an enemy it will generate some super energy, you can use Threat Detector as a guide when getting near Taniks close enough to activate Dynamo while not starting the encounter. Pair this with Eye of Another World exotic + 100 Recovery & Intellect and you should have your super in about 3-4 Rifts. You can swap to Apotheosis Veil when casting your super to regenerate your abilities instantly. Additionally you can use your Grenade before your super so that you have another grenade after casting the super for some extra damage, though damage from your grenade deals less than 1% of his health.

You can use the D.A.R.C.I. exotic sniper to check on his health once in awhile so you don't accidentally kill him (His health percentage is at the top left of the gun while aiming directly on him). After his health is about 5% or bellow, swap to Chaos Reach + Anarchy then build your super again before starting the encounter and finish him off. When starting the encounter he will directly go to his last stand phase so no encounters needed. Geomag Stabilizers will extend the duration of your Chaos Reach a lot longer for extra DPS just incase.
