For Mabuhay Podcast’s premier episode, I would like to introduce to you my very good friend, Ms. Irene Ong Prieto. I met her in a BPO sa Manila back in 2014. At that time, we were both waiting for our US papers to be processed and while naghahantay, we worked as Utilization Review nurses sa BPO under an American insurance account.
When finally maapprove na ang visa niya, she had to leave everything in the Philippines, her family and friends including the stability of a comfortable life sa Pinas in exchange of coming to the US.
Uprooting yourself from your own country to fulfill your dream at the age of 42 and in the process, bringing along your 3 kids and husband is NOT an easy thing to do.
