Vogelsang VX-series: Operating principle of HiFlo rotary lobe pumps
Rotary lobe pumps are positive displacement pumps. That means they can pump directly the media. Due to this principle they are particularly suitable for gentle pumping, the can suck in actively and evacuate air from the tubes. Also they are insensitive against dry-running and foreign matter.
Furthermore the flow direction is reversible and can be changed by rotation direction change.
The HiFlo lobes of the Vogelsang rotary lobe pump are based on this principle. However the wings of the lobes are twisted in a determined angle along the axle. That is the reason why they avoid any pressure impacts and are running pulsation-free. This enables a highly effective pumping. In addition the HiFlo technology enables higher capacities according to elevated maximum torque. An improved suction capacity by reduced cavitation. Self-priming up to 8mWs and elevated pressure by avoiding pressure peaks generated by pulsation.
