In the previous video, we studied Part 2 of the constitution of Indian in which we studied how People could get and lose citizenship of India after the Partition of India till 1955. But after the Citizenship Act, 1955 came into existence, this was used instead of Part 2 for deciding the Citizenship of the people.
There have been many amendments to the Citizenship Act 1955 including the currently proposed Citizenship amendment bill 2016. We will discuss the different amendments and also some special terms like NRI, OCI, PIO, etc.
