Taking delivery of a 1960's VW Beetle and starting to disassemble it for a full ground-up nuts and bolts restoration. I'm looking at the rust and decay and seeing what will need doing as part of the restoration. Was sold as a 1964 car but seems to be something else....
I saw this car for sale online around August 2019 and it looked perfect for my purposes. She sat in a scrap yard in Canberra for a number of years (I believe) before being rescued and passed around before someone (me) decided it would be viable to strip her down and rebuild her. Certainly the heater channels and the floor pans have seen better days and will need chopping out and replacing. I'm on a budget so I will need to learn some metal working skills to create the panels required to get her back to a solid state again. There is lots to learn and I'm looking forward to it!
Yep, she's rusty and crusty but I think she'll be ok.
I'm rebuilding and restoring this rusty 1967 VW Beetle from the ground up.
