Yitzchok's second single When You Get Younger is a poem about the difference in how children view the rules and behaviors of life versus how adults do.
Lyrics:
Dear grown-ups hear me out
Understand my position before you shout
If I fail to meet the standards that you set
Or if the ethics in which you set store I do forget
It's not an offense I'm committing
Nor a face into which I'm spitting
The issue is that we are different, you and me
Your eyes do not view the world
Like the eyes through which I see
I'm not brainless or dull no I'm not slow at all
Remember when you were a child?
Now your stuck at a desk papers up to your chest
You wish you were still running wild
I'm not nasty or spiteful
I'm not vile or hateful
What's right and what's wrong isn't yet clear to me
So be patient and look at what I'll one day be
Remember the silly ol' things that you did
And the phrase you hated most was he's just a kid
Don't pity me for what I am and don't hate me for what I'm not
I'll be ok because I'm good with what I've already got
You might not be pleased with what is at hand
But maybe when you get younger you'll understand
