Bihar Assembly Election Results: The BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance is leading in Bihar and looks set to retain power in the state, where vote counting is still underway. With BJP emerging as the single largest party, its position seems to have cast a shadow over the future of ally Nitish Kumar, who has been projected as the combine's chief ministerial face, but saw a diminished performance. "We will take a decision (on Mr Kumar continuing as the chief minister for a fourth term) when we come to the bridge, and we will take a decision to cross the bridge," Mr Jolly said. All through the campaigning the BJP had maintained JD(U) president Nitish Kumar would be the chief minister even if the party did not perform well.
