We got a call from a family that tried to go for a hike at McKay Falls in the Deschutes National Forest, but got stuck in the snow on a remote forest service road along the way. Ioaded up the off road recovery Jeep with supplies, then picked up my top recovery expert and headed to the woods to see if we could find them. Luckily they were able to give some good directions and we found them pretty quickly, then were able to get them out with a quick rigging and winch job. After that we escorted them back down the mountain to make sure they got back to the pavement safe before heading home ourselves
