Step by step video tutorial how to weave rag rug from used yarn and scrap fabrics of upcycling clothes.

This video is about Kate’s hobby, she likes to weave rag rugs in traditional way on artisanal wooden weaving loom. These rag rugs look very authentic and cozy as home décor, and also Kate made them for social project of street cat houses to warm them inside.

To weave rag rug is not very complicated, but it’s quite long – you have to repeat the same steps many times. Actually, it takes 3-5 days to make one rag rug.

Materials & Tools
- weaving loom (we use local artisanal wooden weaving loom in video, but you can buy similar on the Amazon)
- used yarn (we unravel the old sweaters to recycle yarn)
- old clothes and linens to upcycle
- scissors
- crochet hook
