Florence Scovel Shinn (1871-1940) was an American illustrator, metaphysician, and author.


She is best known for her books on New Thought spirituality and positive thinking, including "The Game of Life and How to Play It" (1925), "Your Word is Your Wand" (1928), and "The Power of the Spoken Word" (1930), "The Secret Door to Success" (1940)


All four books emphasize the power of positive thinking and affirmations in creating success and happiness in life.
