Iran has carried out its first known execution of a protester involved in anti-government demonstrations following the death of Mahsa Amini, by hanging 23-year-old Mohsen Shekari, who was arrested in September.
Shekari was accused of assaulting a member of the Basij paramilitary force and participating in the protests that have gripped the country since September.
Dozens of Iranians are facing death sentences over their involvement in the protests.
