In the 2017 Superboat International Season opener, the 48' Wake Effects battled it out against the similarly equipped 48' MTI of Team CRC. After making an impressive pass to take the lead in lap four and leading for the majority of the race, a mechanical issue forced an early retirement. Ultimately, it was an encouraging start to the season!
