The SA50 in War Thunder is a French Sherman with a long 75mm cannon that can easily punch through 200mm of armour!

The M4A4 SA50 is basically an up gunned Sherman. However, what it has in penetration, it lacks with only having solid shot. That means you'll have to rely purely on the initial shrapnel or the path of the round to do the bulk of the damage.

As the French SA50 is a Sherman it its core, it shares the same mobility as earlier Shermans at a higher battle rating. It also has the same armour, making it really vulnerable to well placed shots on the hull. However, the SA50 has a really unique mantlet that doesn't reliably bounce incoming rounds, but it can!

Overall, the M4A4 isn't that special. Its reload rate lets it down compared to other M4's and the 200mm pen can be completely overkill for most things you'll shoot at. It's a great tank though, and pretty deadly in the right hands!
