Readings of body temperature may become inaccurate due to aging of electronic components. Thus, calibration of thermal scanners are done to maintain accuracy of body temperature measurement.

The calibration, carried out at NMIM’s Radiation Thermometry Lab, is conducted at a temperature range of 35 to 42 with the blackbody’s emissivity of 0.997 as the temperature source.
