Pakistan National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser refused to hold the vote on the no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government and resigned after which his party lawmakers staged a walkout during the voting. With 174 members in the 342-strong house voting in favour of the no-trust motion against Khan, the cricketer-turned politician’s prime ministerial term came to an unceremonious end.
