Why this is interesting:
On April 28, the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyiv Camerata" performed at Carnegie Hall, New York, with the participation of the Canadian conductor of Ukrainian origin, Keri-Lynn Wilson. The ensemble premiered a program featuring works exclusively by Ukrainian composers to the American audience, including pieces by Victoria Poleva, Oleksandr Shchetynskyi, Valentyn Silvestrov, Myroslav Skoryk, Zoltan Almashi, Oleksandr Kozarenko and others. The USA for Ukraine non-profit organization initiated and organized the tour.
On May 30, the ensemble will perform the program from the tour in Kyiv. It will feature Zubytskyi’s violin concerto, Skoryk's melody, Kozarenko's original Concerto Rutheno, as well as music by Stankovich, Silvestrov, Poleva, and Almashi’s piece dedicated to Mariupol "Maria’s City."
