Chevrolet Corvette Z06 -
Chevrolet has unlocked the limits of the Corvette. The Z06 retains its 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Magnetic Ride suspension. Of course, it still delivers power to the rear wheels only.
The balance is optimized.
A new 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 with dual overhead camshafts develops a whopping 680 hp at 8,400 rpm (breaker at 8,600 rpm) and 623 Nm of maximum torque.
For comparison, the current "basic" Corvette C8 Stingray delivers 482 hp at 6,500 rpm and 613 Nm of maximum torque.
