It's all about using airy, dry and volume giving products. Typically, these products don't make your hair feel soft and silky, and some even make you feel like your hair has been dried out - but fear not - they're not actually drying your hair, rather giving grip and volume in a 'drier' away than you may be used to. As long as you don't try to roughly brush through them (which can cause friction breakage) they won't cause damage. The gentlest product in this category will be dry shampoo: I love Evo, water killer, or Olaplex 4D, which is the lightest of all. Next up would be texturising sprays: Sam McKnight Cool Girl, then Oribe Dry, then finally Sam McKnight Texture Spray (in order from lightest to strongest). Finally, if you want mega volume and don't mind the hair feeling held in place (although it won't look like it has product in it) opt for Evo Haze styling powder, which literally will have your hair, defying gravity.
