Subaru's first EV is here. And it's a good one!

Good, I'd say... but maybe not quite great. And with the competition heating up in this segment, it's going to be tough for the Solterra to stand out against some keenly priced alternatives out there.

But if you're a Subaru person, you might just want your first EV to be a Subie - and if that's the case, you're going to like plenty about this SUV.

It's electric and shares a lot with the Toyota bZ4X -- in fact, it might share TOO MUCH with the Toyota, as the media system doesn't even run the same colourful and usable displays as you get in a Forester or Crosstrek.
