Now the monkey's got an idea. All right, we need to go across now. At least we have some indication. But this ocean is so vast. Who is going to go across? So they all discussed. This is a 100 Yojan that needs to be crossed. Who is going to go across? So Jambavan said I can jump 50 Yojan. And somebody said I can jump 90 Yojan, and Angad said I can actually jump 100 Yojan but the problem is I won't be able to come back. So finally, who is going to go across? Jambavant reminded Hanuman, that look you are born for Ram kaaj. Why don't you speak up?
Now, Hanuman, when he wanted to jump, he needed a base. So what base? Because Newton's third law says action has an equal and opposite reaction. If he is going to jump such a long jump, then he is going to press that hard. Now whichever mountain he presses to jump that mountain goes to Paatal. Finally, Hanuman left across. He is going for Ram kaaj. Some people say when you go to do good works, there should be no obstacles. But Hanuman finds exactly the reverse. It is not that when you go for good works, there will be no obstacles. God will test you. What is your resolve? How determined you are. And that is what Hanuman experiences.
So as he was going across one golden mountain arose. This was Mainaak Parvat. So the mountain said to Hanuman, Look, Why are you going in such a hurry? Come and rest a little bit out here. I will provide you all the comforts you need. After some rest, you can continue. Now remember, Robert Frost's poem. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep. So Hanuman said to Mainaak Parvat, Thank you for the offer, but I am busy right now. In this Ram Kaaj there is no vishram. I have to complete my work duty first. But then he did not want to insult Mainaak Parvat, so he put his hand there as a mark of respect and continued. Mainaak Parvat offered his Pranaam, he said to Ram daas, I am offering my respects. May you succeed, proceed.
