In this video, I share how to work the mitered granny square in continuous rounds which is ideal if you are looking for a project to use a variegated or ombre style yarn. Also included is a flower granny square to begin your blanket for an alternative look . Beginner Friendly blanket!
TIP: When you are working on your blanket you may find that it either starts getting wavy or tight (sort of arches in on the sides). To help with this, I would suggest adding and/or removing chains in between clusters occasionally.
If you like to put 1 chain in between your clusters, omit some of them in alternating rows. This will help reduce the waving.
If you don't add a chain between clusters, then add them intermittently to help loosen things up and straighten your blanket back out.
Mine was getting "tight" at times so I would add chains in alternating rows. No one can see this and you'll notice it helps a lot. Just play with it , you'll find a system that works well for you.
