This video depicts autumn in a rural Bulgarian village. Also a recipe for walnut and basil pesto. Summer is leaving, and autumn is here. The days meld between hot and cool. We spend our time in the garden harvesting the apples to make cider, the grapes to make wine, and what is left of the tomatoes to bottle for winter. We also have lots of basil and the walnut tree is prolific. We have so many gourds I try my hand at fall decor.

Our evenings are spent walking our five rescue dogs.

We are an English couple living in a rural Bulgarian village In the Rose Valley in central Bulgaria – a place where time seems to have stood still.

I make videos about life here: Slow living, the countryside, self-sufficiency, customs and traditions, DIY, cooking and decorating our home.
