In 2015, Chief Executive of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Professor Geoff Masters wrote an influential article identifying the 'big five' challenges in Australian education. Six years – and a global pandemic – later, we revisited those challenges in a special series of webinars in which experts from education research, policy and practice explored the progress made towards meeting them.

'Equipping students for the 21st century' was our first webinar and it featured ACER Senior Research Fellows Dr Claire Scoular and Jonathan Heard with University of Melbourne Professorial Fellow Dr Esther Care, moderated by ACER Deputy CEO Dr Catherine McClellan.
