Here is an exercise that you can use to build punching power.
Standing in boxing stance near to a wall. Hold the medicine/ballistic ball in your rear hand and throw the ball into the wall like a punch. Rotate your hips, use your core and fully extend the arm.
Do 4-8 reps depending on the weight of the medicine/ballistic ball. Generate as much force as you can using the kinetic chain from your feet, up through your core and out through your fist.
Then switch stance to do the other hand. Always switch stance so that it is your rear hand throwing the ball.
