I bought a 40A just to see if it would play well with my DIY water heater controller attached to the same panels. It transitions nicely sending whatever amount of power left over to heat water. I have seen this controller cause my inverter to go into high voltage fault many times. Sometimes I will see the 60V string at 19V. Disconnect panel and reconnect, it goes to 60V and over 200W.. My prior reliable system now can't be trusted to work when I am gone. Manual has section listing items on LCD display that I have never seen. Just wish it would display amps. Panel and battery NEG are not shared. If these connect elsewhere in your system it won't function properly.?
