(3 Feb 2020) The Chinese community of Buenos Aires celebrated the Spring Festival on Sunday, which marks the arrival of the Chinese New Year.
The celebrations marked the Year of the Rat, according to the Chinese zodiac.
Hundreds of people came to celebrate the occasion, where dancing dragons paraded through the crowd and Chinese and Argentine singers and entertainers performed for the audience.
The event's organiser, Carola Chen, pointed out that due to a virus outbreak in China that has caused 362 deaths so far, this year's event also aimed to send a solidarity message from Argentina to China.
