Boston's Ukrainian community gathers to celebrate "Vyshyvanka Day," a normally light-hearted annual celebration of Ukrainian folk traditions that this year is being viewed as a symbol of national unity against Russia's invasion. Wearing traditional Ukrainian outfits called "vyshyvankas" -- colourful embroidered shirts that were forbidden in the Soviet era -- dozens of attendees sing traditional songs, raise money for Ukraine and dress Boston's iconic "Make Way for Ducklings" in vyshyvankas to "make them look like Ukrainians," a Ukrainian at the celebration says.
