It's our first full day exploring The Philippines and we're in Manila.

Unfortunately we all got sick our second day here so we didn't get to go out and explore much. We spent Christmas at home and while we celebrated and spent time together as a family, none of us felt well.

The first day we all felt better, we made our way to Venice Grand Canal Mall to experience little Italy in The Philippines. It was really cool, the kids enjoyed it.

After taking a stroll along the canal, we grabbed some lunch. We were planning to take a boat ride, but decided $40 wasn't quite worth it for us. Instead we went inside to check out more of the mall. Sammy picked out a present for Nicole's birthday which was in a couple days before we made our way over to High Street in BGC.

We walked a little over a mile from the mall to High Street. Although the kids were a bit tired, they did a great job. On our walk, we passed a poor neighborhood. The contrast of the neighborhood and the skyscrapers in the background was interesting.

We arrived at High Street and explored the area. It's a nice place for families to hang out and walk along the paths. There is areas for pets and lots of shops and restaurants. We ended the day with some candy and ice cream before grabbing a car back to our apartment.
