Welcome to First Episode of my Ladakh ride from Kolkata with my parents. In Day 1, I have covered a total distance of approx 1043 kilometres from Kolkata to Lucknow by bike. The road directions goes as follows.

The condition of NH2 is terrible due to construction work in west bengal. You will get some good roads after crossing west bengal - jharkhand border.

To connect to Purvanchal expressway, do not take the right from Jasoiya more, Aurangabad, rather travel another 100 kms and take right from Mohania which will connect you to Purvanchal expressway at Ghazipur.

If you are planning to go to Delhi fast, you can cover Varanasi to lucknow via purvanchal expressway by paying toll of 300 rupees for two wheeler as of September 2023.

In this video you will find the Purvanchal expressway toll price details and also the details of Petrol pump at purvanchal expressway cause previously the petrol pumps of Purvanchal Expressway were not functional in recent past.

It took me around 19 hours to reach Lucknow from Kolkata by road. Where I stayed in a Oyo near Ekana stadium Lucknow (Hotel Ridhdhi Grand).

After checking in, we went to the nearby phoenix palassio mall lucknow. Its a must visit place to try out some exquisite resturants. We had famous mutton galouti kebab at Punjab grill Lucknow.
