The purpose of this video is to shed some light on the issue of the production of meat and its toll on surrounding environments and inhabitants around factory farms. This is a topic that needs to be addressed. With growing populations and more demand for meat factory farms have become more prevalent than ever before. Factory Farms take large quantities of animals and put them into small areas to maximize the efficiency of meat production and profits but don’t seem to take into account the impact that they have on the environment or the people that they put in danger with their production. Factory farms are a major public health concern and environmental concern when it comes to their production and put local residents at risk. These residents are exposed to all the aftereffects of factory farms and come in contact with the consequences of waste pits, water runoff, and pollution. Recently the debate has been getting more traction and slowly reaching more ear of consumers, but more has to be done about this unsustainable industry. This video not only talks about the issues of the animal agriculture industry and factory farming but also provides multiple ideas to create better solutions for the individuals who live near these facilities. It provides simple alternatives for consumers who have the power to make a positive change in the industry and a change in the lives of the inhabitants who suffer from the presence of factory farms in their communities and their homes.
