I have been wanting to do a review on a motorbike under the 10k mark for a while, here it is. The 2012 Suzuki GSX600R. New these bike cost $14.990, there where a few deals around at the time, you could save $1000 on a new one.
Privates sales are around $7.990 for an average on and a absolute cracker around $9.400 in Australia.
Power 124.04HP and Torque 69.60
Suspension
Rear coil spring, oil damper, fully adjustable, spring preload/rebound, compression damper force 2 way.. high speed and low speed adjustable.
Front.
Inverted telescopic, big piston, coil, spring, oildamper, spring preload, fully adjustable, rebound and compression damper force fully adjustable.
Front brakes are Twin floating disc, Brembo's
Rear are single disc hydraulic.
My thoughts are a great all-rounder, easy to ride, easy to ride fast as well, prefers to be ridden harder, Steering is lower, bars closer together, needs more force to turn when riding slow and your over the front of the bike. This isn't to bad, pretty comfortable really for short to mid range rides depending on your height and weight will depend on your experience.
Brakes seemed more gentle than the MT-10 or progressive, although I never got to push the GSXR to find it's limits I found the power was plentiful, the bike exciting, easy to ride, corner and brake.
So would I buy one, absolutely, I think it's a very fast learner bike. Do some track days to master it.
