Buffalo City Metro authorities say 21 foreign national spaza shop owners were arrested during Friday's raids for non-compliance with the city's by-laws. They face various charges, ranging from lacking identification to employing undocumented staff. Some of those arrested appeared in Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Their appearance follows fresh allegations a township teenager had to seek medical attention after consuming chips and biscuits from a local spaza shop. eNCA's Ronald Masinda reports.
