Breaking News from Zimbabwe is that the ruling ZANU PF party has fired Robert Mugabe as its president an appointed Emmerson Mnangagwa as interim party president. It is reported that Mugabe's wife Grace was also fired as head of the party's Women's League while Jonathan Moyo and Saviour Kasukuwere were axed as cabinet ministers. Although Mugabe has been recalled as party president, he has not been dismissed from the party. Mugabe fired Mnangagwa earlier this month as vice-president, paving the way for Grace to succeed the 93-year old as the country's next leader.
