At their last stop on the tour, third-year students are invited to a traditional Aboriginal cleansing ceremony. In return, they organize a dance course for the children of the city. Christian proves to be an unexpectedly good teacher, while Ollie once again proves to be a self-promoter. Tara and Ben have problems with their performance as the lovers Romeo and Juliet. Somehow the chemistry on stage is not right with them! The reason for this are old wounds that were opened by Tara. Abigail also struggles with old disappointments and has difficulties with her modern solo.

Dance Academy is mainly about the fifteen-year-old Tara Webster – a girl who grew up on a farm in outback Australia.
