RECYCLED KADAI
These beautiful and functional barbecue fire bowls are handmade from recycled oil drums by family workshops in India. Hand cut metal plates are riveted in the traditional way for strength and durability and feature the same drop handles as the Original Kadais. The High Stand is the perfect height for barbecuing.

I used an original technique:
Spatchcocked chicken, also called a butterflied chicken on the Asado Cross cooking style.
This allows you to cook slowly outdoors on charcoal or regular firewood.

Cooking-Time:

Approx. 2 hours
Cooking-Temperature:
Set the Cross when your hand can hold max 2 seconds of the heat.

The Firebowl:

Ingredients
2 chicken aprox. 1.6 KG / 3.5 lbs

For the dry rub:
1 part garlic powder
1 part paprika powder
1 part Coarse salt
1/2 part ground black pepper
1 part onion powder
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil.

in addition to keeping the chicken moist:
2 lemons
1 glass of wine
1 part Coarse salt


To monitor the internal temperature of the meat:

Set the Target temperature at 74 C / 165 F
