The Rockybrook Estate on Delray Beach, 9192 Rockybrook Way, is a giant Miami mansion recently sold by a luxury realtor, and truly shows off what luxury life can be.

The Rockybrook truly is a modern complex, and it really doesn’t get much more luxurious than this. At 18,000 square feet, the main building is far from small, and it sits comfortably on a 2.5 acre lot. In the foyer, there’s a classic “I’m rich” double staircase, with beautiful railings done in black. This contrasts nicely with the white stairs, and the latticed walls and tiled floors tie the whole modern look together. In many of the rooms, the walls are white marble, with inlaid stainless steel that has been laser cut and polished. Lots of walls in the house are a full 32 feet tall, which lend to the grandeur of the interior, and offer much better views of the greenery outside.

The property’s biggest draw, especially because of the lack of waterfront access, is the giant pool. And we do mean giant — 250,000 gallons worth, which is an awful lot to heat. While that’s only half an Olympic swimming pool in theory, this pool is much more shallow, and stretches out all around the property, with waterfalls, grottos, and more.

The Rockybrook Estate had a bit of trouble when getting ready for the
market. After 5 years of construction, the project ground to a halt when Covid
reared its ugly head, and all of a sudden luxury living lost some of its luster. This was easily the most expensive compound being sold in Delray Beach, and there were no takers.

There’s certainly nothing like taking a dip in the ocean, and no matter how big a pool is, it simply won’t be the same as the Atlantic. So while this house is quite nice, to be sure, buying now may be jumping the gun. As a recent construction, it’s hard to say what kinds of problems with the house will crop up — maybe those hurricane proof windows won’t be as hurricane proof as you thought, for example. Since we don’t know who the buyer is, we also can’t really judge them for purchasing the property — you never know when a landlocked Florida compound is the perfect fit for your every need.
