At its Tuesday meeting, the Plymouth City Council declared a vacancy for the Ward 3 council seat last held by Jim Davis. The city council plans to accept applications for the seat until March 6. Members could then decide on a candidate following interviews slated for March 12. The council indicated a preference to appoint someone who won't be running in the November election. The selected applicant would fill the remainder of Davis’ term, which is until Jan. 6, 2025.
