Danny O'Connor faced Gabriel Bracero on October 10, 2015 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. The fight was broadcast live on NBCSN as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.
This was the second time O'Connor and Bracero would meet in the ring. Their first battle was on April 8, 2011. It was an 8-round bout that ended in a unanimous decision victory for Bracero. O'Connor was looking for redemption in this fight.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as he had planned. The fight was scheduled for 10 rounds, however just 41 seconds into the very first round, Bracero landed a blistering counter right hand that sent O'Connor limply to the canvas. The fight was over.
