Neptune, the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun in our solar system, is a gas giant with a striking blue appearance. It has a dynamic atmosphere with high-speed winds and distinct weather features, including dark spots and a memorable storm called the "Great Dark Spot." Neptune possesses a faint ring system and a diverse moon system, with Triton being its most notable moon. Although Neptune has only been visited by the Voyager 2 spacecraft, ongoing observations and studies contribute to our knowledge of this distant planet and its place in the outer reaches of our solar system.
